E! Online reports that the former CSI: Miami and Third Watch star, who recently announced his engagement to LeAnn Rimes, had a request granted by the court to decrease his payments to ex-wife Brandi Glanville, and have Glanville reimburse some of the funds already paid.
An insider explained: "He worked a little but only made a little. Now Brandi has to give him a bunch of money back. From now on, the child support payments will be half of what was originally agreed on."
It is alleged that as a result, Glanville and the former couple's children will have to relocate, as the new figure does not cover the rent for the property they moved to in May 2010 after the family home was sold during the divorce proceedings.
"It's really sad because the poor kids were finally getting settled in," the source added.
Representatives for Cibrian and Rimes have not yet returned requests for comment.
