Connelly: 'Pregnancy like bad phone service'

Jennifer Connelly has compared the early months of her pregnancy to "sketchy" cell phone service.

The Dilemma actress, who is expecting her third child, told CBS's The Late Show With David Letterman that she had experienced illness in her first three months.

"I'm feeling great - now!" she laughed. "The first three months were no fun; very sketchy. It was like sketchy cell phone service. Like when you have your cell phone and you have to stand in one spot... I have to stand in one spot in my apartment to make a phone call.

"It was like that with nausea, I had to stand in one spot which happened to be in front of my refrigerator which was open with me dipping pretzels in cream cheese and stuffing them in my mouth! If I did that I was good!"

The star, who is married to actor Paul Bettany, is also mother to son Kai, 13, and 7-year-old son Stellan. She added to Letterman that the children are "thrilled" about welcoming a new sibling later this year.

The Dilemma, which premiered in Chicago on Thursday, opens January 14 in the US and January 21 in the UK.
