John Edwards rep denies proposal report

A spokesperson for John Edwards has denied a report suggesting that he has proposed to Rielle Hunter.

Hunter previously had an affair with Edwards and conceived a child with him.

It was recently reported that the former US presidential candidate proposed to Hunter in December.

However, Edwards's rep has dismissed the story, telling The Daily Beast: "I can tell you that it's not true."
