George Clooney is to present an Oscar at the Academy Awards ceremony.
The 44-year-old is already up for three gongs at the event, but has been further honoured by organisers asking him to present an award.
Tight security measures are in place this year, with sniffer dogs and bomb squads set to guard the Kodak Theatre, where the awards are being held.
LAPD spokesman Paul Vernon explained: "There's no specific threat against the Oscars, but it's something we're always prepared for."
