Denise Richards splits from Nikki Sixx

Denise Richards has split from Motley Crue bassist Nikki Sixx.

Richards, who began dating Sixx in December, has broken up with the rocker after only a few weeks of dating, according to Us Weekly.

"They decided to try it and she was not interested," said a source.

They continued: "It's crazy how this is being made out to be some big break-up. They were never exclusive or serious to begin with! I could count on my hand how many times they went out."

Richards had previously admitted that she was "taking it very slowly" with Sixx.
