The pair's relationship was revealed last week when they were photographed attending the theatre together. It was claimed that they had first met in November at a meal organised by a mutual friend.
"I can confirm that Elen Rivas and I are seeing each other," the singer wrote in his New magazine column. "And everything is going well. I always said that when I found a girlfriend I would tell you all!
"I'm not going to speak about the relationship in detail - but I will say we're happy."
Speaking about their date last week, Andre - who split from Katie Price in May 2009 - added that he and Rivas - an ex-girlfriend of footballer Frank Lampard - had had a "great night".
"We got papped last week when we went out for dinner at Claridge's and then went to see Flashdance: The Musical," he added. "The meal was terrific and Flashdance is such a great show."
