Price 'will really try to save marriage'

Katie Price will not be prepared to divorce her second husband Alex Reid without a "massive effort" to save their relationship, it has been claimed.

According to various reports, the couple - wed in Las Vegas almost a year ago - are poised to split after Price admitted that their marriage is in crisis.

A source told Heat that Price's friend Andrew Gould suggested she take Reid away on holiday in a bid to patch up their differences.

"Jordan was strongly advised to take Alex seriously and fix things, or face going through her second divorce in two years," they said. "The reality of this really shook her."

Price's divorce from first husband Peter Andre was finalised in October 2009, four months before she and Reid wed.

Another alleged source added: "Things could go either way at this point. The holiday was taken with the best of intentions, but it wasn't romantic - it was more of a summit.

"Jordan had promised to change a lot of things, like her attitude towards Alex and no longer bleating on about Pete, and he had promised to be patient."

They added: "There's a lot that has happened in their relationship that she'd rather the public wasn't privy to, such as how dismissive she's been with Alex and the serious frustrations over her not being able to conceive. Jordan hasn't come back with a shedload of confidence about things.

"Jordan doesn't like to be seen as vulnerable and she has had to seriously humble herself with Alex to give things another go. If they divorce it will be after a massive effort to save things."
