Zsa Zsa Gabor 'unaware of leg amputation'

Zsa Zsa Gabor is allegedly unaware that the lower half of her leg has been amputated.

The screen legend's husband Prince Frederic von Anhalt reported that the 93-year-old is talking and responding well following surgery to combat a serious gangrene infection, but has yet to notice the removal of her limb.

He told Reuters: "She talks to me and she smiles a little bit. I told them [doctors] not to talk to her, because I didn't want her to get hysterical and the blood pressure goes up."

Von Anhalt added that he intends to inform Gabor of her doctors' actions within the next few days.

Meanwhile, the star's spokesperson John Blanchette expressed hope that Gabor would return home in time for her 94th birthday at the beginning of February.
