Sandra Bullock laughs off Reynolds rumours

Sandra Bullock has laughed off rumours that she is dating her Proposal co-star Ryan Reynolds.

The actors spent New Year's Eve together have been romantically linked following Reynolds's separation from wife Scarlett Johansson.

However, in an interview with the Today Show's Al Roker at the Golden Globe Awards over the weekend, Bullock joked that female admirers of Reynolds would be relieved to know that the speculation is untrue.

"I think there will be a collective sigh amongst woman across the United States when I say he is not my lover!" she told the NBC show. "He's just an amazing friend that I've had for ten years and I hope there is more friendship like that - but I don't get his loving after dark!"

Bullock was at the ceremony to present Colin Firth with his 'Best Actor' prize for The King's Speech. The actress picked up the 'Best Actress' trophy for her role in The Blind Side at last year's event.

Reynolds, who did not attend the awards, recently admitted that he is eager to reunite with Bullock on screen but said that nothing has been finalised yet.
