The actress began dating Beh in July 2010 but confessed that his sense of humour is what ultimately made her realise her attraction to the director.
"He was just really funny," she told E! Online.
"It wasn't anything in particular that he said. He was just really funny."
Beh previously admitted that he read Hewitt's relationship book before dating her.
