An exhibition of costumes worn by Kylie Minogue has attracted 400,000 fans in Australia.
Visitors in Melbourne, Canberra, Brisbane and Sydney have admired 40 outfits from the singer's tours, television appearances and videos – including the hotpants from her Spinning Around video.
"We had no idea how successful it would be," said curator Janine Barrand, who was shocked by the range of interested fans. "It was young women in their early 30s with their daughters, it was young men in suits on their lunch breaks, it was Kylie's gay audience, it was older people."
The exhibition may travel overseas after it closes in Sydney in May, said Barrand, but nothing is yet confirmed.
