A group of stars will arrive at the Oscars ceremony tonight in green hybrid cars to promote environmentalism.

The 25 names involved include Joaquin Phoenix, George Clooney, Jennifer Aniston, Jake Gyllenhaal and Frances McDormand.

They will step onto the red carpet from Toyota or Lexus hybrids, including the Toyota Prius, Lexus RX crossover and a hybrid version of the Toyota Camry, to go on sale this year.

The fourth annual Red Carpet, Green Cars event is sponsored by Toyota and environmental group Global Green USA.
