Speaking on Bravo's Watch What Happens Live, the '80s popstar said that her relationship with the performer was "fun".
She explained: "He became gay [after we dated].
"Now looking back when we were dating he was so much fun. We use to do facials together. He was so easy to talk to and he was fabulous."
Knight has not previously made any public statement regarding his sexuality.
