According to the News of the World, the actress failed to pay the sum to Absolute Centre Stage Ltd, who prepared lights, a dancefloor and mirrored bars for her reception at Manchester's Hilton hotel last August.
Speaking of Malone, who plays Mimi McGuire in the Channel 4 show, a source said: "They can't understand why she hasn't paid."
A letter from the firm's lawyer apparently says: "The debtor is avoiding all our attempts to contact them to settle this account amicably."
When the paper tried to approach Malone for a comment, she allegedly ran into her Salford apartment building shouting to fellow residents: "It's the News of the World!"
