Jewel, Ty Murray announce baby's sex

Jewel and husband Ty Murray have revealed that they are expecting a baby boy.

The couple announced that Jewel was pregnant with their first child last week.

Jewel and Murray said that they waited to learn the baby's sex before remodelling a guest bedroom in their home for the child.

"We would have been happy either way, of course, but we are so excited to be
having a little boy," Jewel told People.

Champion rodeo cowboy Murray added: "I have to admit, I was doing a little dance on our way out of the doctor's office when we found out!"

Jewel, who is co-hosting the new Bravo show Going Platinum, married Murray in 2008.
