Chuck D backs Flavor Flav's fried chicken

Chuck D has expressed his support for his Public Enemy bandmate Flavor Flav's chicken franchise.

Last year at a pre-gig Q&A session, Flav revealed his fast food plans alongside news of a Le Flav Spirits drinks venture.

"I'm also launching FFC," he said. "Ya'll heard of KFC right? Well this is FFC, Flav's Fried Chicken. The Colonel better watch his back, G! The Colonel might end up in my fryer!"

On Twitter this week, Chuck D said: "He does groundbreaking s**t in South Aftica etc 71 tour 76 countries and press rather pay attention to asking me about Flavs chicken WTF? (sic)

"I give FLAV credit I rather him sell something most people EAT ..like why does Popeye Bojangles and The Colonel get automatic blackfolk?

"And how does Flavor feed his family if people don't take him seriously. Flav does things peeps get awkward griff lectures cats get scared."

He added: "So the twitiot question here is how does 51 year old Flavor Flav make a living besides being a musician in PE? And would YOU support that ?

"Flav opens a chicken frAnchise and thinks of entering where Diddy and your favourites have done. Mind u I don't drink OR eat chicken. So what."

Of his own chicken-eating habits, Chuck D said: "Hard to support hormones and steroids but my wife will 2-3 a year cook a home grown chicken from nearby or org."
