It has been revealed that Richard Whiteley has left almost £4 million to his family, friends and his old school in his will.
The late presenter of Countdown was greatly mourned after his passing last year from pneumonia following his heart surgery in June.
The bulk of his estate will pass directly to his son, James Ebbetts Wilson (19) and his long-term partner, Katheryn Apanowicz. His house in East Witton was left to Ms Apanowic, though his flat in Leeds was left to his former partner Jennifer Cropper and a cottage in Masham was left to his niece, Georgina Stewart.
The remainder of Whiteley's estate will be shared between his son and Giggleswick School.
