Actress Uma Thurman has dumped boyfriend Andre Balazs just weeks after declaring that she'd found love.

The actress who is the mother of two children from her previous relationship with Ethan Hawke decided that her partnership with Balazs was not going anywhere: "[he] was not the kind of man she would marry," a source told the New York Post.

However, Thurman has said that she will remain close friends with Balazs.

Last year Uma declared: "I'm with a wonderful man who's been there for me - that's something very unusual for me."
