Cyndi Lauper 'suffers allergic skin rash'

Cyndi Lauper has suffered a severe allergic reaction to a treatment she received at a local spa.

The 'Girls Just Wanna Have Fun' singer was photographed in Los Angeles earlier this week with a red rash covering her face, sparking concern for her health.

However, a rep for the star insisted that the condition is not serious and should clear up soon.

"She'll be fine, she was in town meeting with [production company] Mark Burnett folks and unfortunately had a bad reaction to a spa treatment while relaxing after the meeting," the spokesperson told E Online.

The condition is said to have been brought on by "a bad reaction to a facial".
