CNN reports that the outfit and a selection of the actress's personal items are to be presented to museum officials on Wednesday by her former partner Ryan O'Neal.
Other items to be displayed in an exhibit on Fawcett's life include scripts from the first season of Charlie's Angels, a doll that bares the star's likeness and a 1976 'Farrah Phenomenon' issue of TV Guide, according to the museum's website.
Fawcett starred for a single season as a full-time castmember on ABC's Charlie's Angels, before leaving the series to appear in films such as Logan's Run and Somebody Killed Her Husband.
She died in June 2009 at the age of 62 after a lengthy battle with cancer.
