The 30-year-old actor died in hospital following a fall from a flat balcony in Whitchapel in December 2006.
According to PA, Doherty's solicitor Sean Curran noted that his client had not been formally questioned and said: "He did attend a police station to help them with their inquiries, but he attended voluntarily."
A Scotland Yard spokesman added: "We have made no arrests. Inquiries continue and we are not prepared to discuss who we may or may not have spoken to."
Cambridge graduate Blanco was found to have deliberately jumped from the flat by an initial police investigation, but a second independent probe was then ordered by a coroner, prompting Blanco's family to pay for a specialist report.
Neurobiology expert Professor Richard Wassersug reportedly found that Blanco's head injuries indicated he could not have deliberately jumped from the balcony.
