Juelz Santana arrested on gun, drug charges

The rapper was taken into custody on Wednesday after police found him possessing marijuana and handguns, reports the New Jersey Record.
Authorities discovered two loaded handguns and 17 bags of "suspected marijuana" during a raid on Santana's recording studio in Bergenfield, NJ. The search was part of a police drug dealing and gang investigation in the area.
The Def Jam recording artist has been arrested before for possession of weapons and drugs, said Bergen County prosecutor John L. Molinelli.
Santana, whose real name is Laron James, released the hit single ‘There It Go (The Whistle Song)’ in 2005.
He is being held at the Bergen County Jail in Hackensack on $125,000 bail.
