Andre, Rivas 'bond over babies'

Peter Andre and Elen Rivas reportedly realised their love for each other at a recent baby shower.

The couple apparently made their first official appearance together at the party for Channel 5 owner Richard Desmond and his girlfriend Joy Canfield. The Daily Star claims that Andre was impressed by Rivas's approach to children.

"Pete has been gushing non-stop about Elen but the baby shower was the real turning point," a source told the paper. "Seeing how good she is with kids was the final push he needed to fall head over heels for her. They bonded over babies and realised it is love."

Yesterday it was reported that Katie Price has offered her ex-husband an olive branch following the end of her second marriage to Alex Reid.

"Kate can say what she wants but she doesn't stand a chance of getting Pete back - he only has eyes for Elen," the source said. "No-one would be surprised if they are hosting a baby shower of their own before long."

Responding to the Daily Star's ambiguous "Pete & Elen's Baby Joy" headline, Andre's manager Claire Powell wrote on Twitter: "What an absolute joke on the front cover of the daily Star peter and elen went to a baby shower that is it. (sic)"

Rivas - who has two children with Chelsea footballer Frank Lampard - recently dismissed speculation that she is engaged to and planning to move in with Andre.
