The AP reports that Martin will accept the Courage Award at the organisation's Unforgettable Evening event next week on behalf of his spouse, who died last summer after a battle with cancer.
The couple met during a stage production of Godspell in the early 1970s and were married for more than 20 years.
Oscar nominee Annette Bening will also be given a special award during the Unforgettable Evening gala, which is to be hosted by Conan O'Brien and feature a musical performance by Rihanna.
The Women's Research Cancer Fund advocates early screenings to prevent future cancer diagnoses and awareness for women battling the disease.
