Walters: 'LA is all about how you look'

Julie Walters has compared Los Angeles to "an alien planet".

Speaking to the Daily Mail, the BAFTA-winning actress commented on a trip she made to the city while filming Calendar Girls.

"It was like an alien planet - you never saw anybody with a wrinkle," she said.

"The place was all about what you look like, and I'd find that very difficult to live with."

Walters also told the newspaper that she is not a fan of Botox or cosmetic surgery.

"I think facelift after facelift is a difficult road to go down," she said. "It can be a freak show if you're not careful."
