Katherine Jenkins, Gethin Jones engaged

Opera singer Katherine Jenkins has become engaged to her boyfriend, television presenter Gethin Jones.

According to The Mail On Sunday, Jenkins and Jones plan to marry next year in Wales. The couple met three years ago when Jones was a contestant on Strictly Come Dancing.

A source reportedly told the newspaper: "Gethin proposed last month. It was a wonderful start to the year for both of them.

"Katherine is so happy and can't wait to start planning her wedding... They are both very happy and in love and their friends and family are equally delighted for them."

A spokesperson for Jenkins confirmed that the couple had become engaged, but made no further comment.
