Rouass 'fell victim to drive-by shooting'

Laila Rouass has recalled the "dramatic" moment that she was shot at as a teenager.

The 39-year-old, who is soon to make her debut in medical drama Holby City, revealed that she was once the victim of a drive-by attack in New York City.

Rouass told Buzz Magazine: "I've got a scar on my shin from when I got shot in New York when I was 17. I was outside a McDonald’s and somebody shot a gun from a car, and the bullet grazed my leg.

"I didn’t realise it had happened until everyone started shouting. I looked down and began screaming because I was bleeding. Dramatic, eh?"
