Christie Brinkley joins Broadway's 'Chicago'

According to USA Today, the model-actress will play the role of Roxie Hart for 11 weeks, making her debut in the play on April 4 at the Ambassador Theater.
Renee Zellwegger was nominated for an Oscar in 2002 for playing Roxie in the screen adaptation of Chicago.
Brooke Shields, Ashlee Simpson, Michelle Williams and Melanie Griffith have played the role on stage in the past.
Brinkley's last acting part was on a 2009 episode of Ugly Betty. She previously appeared in National Lampoon's Vacation and Vegas Vacation.
