The musician was found dead at a hotel on Spain's Costa del Sol coastal region over the weekend.
BBC News reports that authorities do not view the death as suspicious at this point, but toxicology reports have yet to be completed.
It is thought that a judge is to release Moore's body to his family in the coming days.
Moore and singer Phil Lynott led Thin Lizzy to become of the most successful hard rock bands of the 1970s and he later scored several solo hits including 'Parisienne Walkways' and 'Friday on My Mind'.
Earlier this week, Sir Bob Geldof praised Moore as "one of the great Irish bluesmen" in the history of popular music.
