Wahlberg: 'My 7-year-old daughter dates'

Mark Wahlberg has revealed that he recently accompanied his daughter Ella Rae on a date.

During an interview on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, the Fighter actor recalled his shock at being contacted by the child's classmate and informed of the boy's desire to date the 7-year-old.

"She gave a boy in her class my cell phone number, he calls me and says, 'Hey, Mr Wahlberg, I'm taking your daughter to the movies'," he remembered.

"I'm like, 'What?' 7 years old! I say at least seven more years."

Wahlberg went on to say that he eventually gave in. "He's 7 too and I'm like, 'OK, let me talk to your father'," he said.

"So me and the father talk, we take them to the movies, they don't say a word to each other."

Wahlberg and wife Rhea Durham are also parents to 4-year-old Robert, 2-year-old Joseph and 1-year-old Grace.
