'Idol' Sanjaya joins 'Freckleface Strawberry'

The singer will join the cast of musical Freckleface Strawberry at New World Stages from February 23, says The AP.
The family show, which opened last year, is based on the New York Times Best Selling book by Julianne Moore.
Malakar rose to fame as a finalist on the sixth season of American Idol in 2007, which was eventually won by Jordin Sparks. He also appeared on the second season of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!
