Speaking to People, the actress addressed tabloid rumours about her and expectations that some fans might have of her.
"I think people honestly just want to see me as a mum and married and barefoot and pregnant in the kitchen. And I just want to say, 'Everybody, relax! It's going to happen'," she said, adding that she is "really happy".
Aniston also revealed that she hasn't dated anyone in a year and a half, and that she isn't adopting a baby, despite rumours to the contrary.
The star, who turns 42 on Friday, can currently be seen starring with Adam Sandler in the comedy Just Go With It.
