Kathy Griffin has signed to star in her own one-woman Broadway show.

The comedian is bringing Kathy Griffin Wants A Tony to New York City's Belasco Theater in March, says The Hollywood Reporter.

Griffin said that the show would feature "fresh material due to the revolving door of pop culture, political and celebrity missteps".

"While I have been asked to understudy for Spider-Man and take over for Al [Pacino] when he has finished his run in The Merchant of Venice, instead I have decided to take my very own show to Broadway," she added.

The show will run from March 11 to March 13 and March 15 to March 19.
