Cameron Diaz has said that she is flattered to be nominated for a Nickelodeon Kids' Choice award.

The actress was recognised in the category of 'Favourite Voice From An Animated Movie' for her work in Shrek Forever After.

"Well, as everyone knows, the kids know their stuff, so I'm always very flattered to be their choice for anything," the 32-year-old said.

She added: "After all these years, Fiona is very close to my heart and it's awesome to know that kids around the world love her as much as I do."

Other celebrities nominated for the gong include Eddie Murphy for Shrek Forever After, and Tom Hanks and Tim Allen for Toy Story 3.
