Zeta-Jones: 'Douglas is my main man'

Catherine Zeta-Jones says that her husband and fellow actor Michael Douglas is the most important person in her life.

The actress has said that she always tries to prioritise her husband over everyone else in her life, after listening to advice from his father, Hollywood veteran Kirk Douglas.

"Kirk said, 'The most important person in your life is your partner because with children and friends, they grow and eventually leave the nest'," Zeta-Jones said, according to Female First. "It's true, at the end of the day it is just you and your partner.

"I do feel lucky that I met Michael," the actress added. "Not just Michael Douglas the actor and producer with two Oscars on the shelf, but Michael Douglas the love of my life."

Zeta-Jones and Douglas have been married since 2000 and have two children together.

Douglas was given the all-clear by doctors earlier this month, after being diagnosed with throat cancer in August last year.
