According to People, the intruder broke in on Thursday, but according to a representative for DeGeneres, did not make contact with either the talkshow host or her wife.
"The property is protected by a 24-hour security team that detected and detained the intruder until she was turned over to the custody of Beverly Hills police officers, who arrested her," said the rep.
"The intruder never entered the actual residence, and did not make any contact with either Ellen or Portia. Ellen and Portia appreciate the fast and effective response of BHPD officers."
DeGeneres and de Rossi were seen getting lunch with their young niece the day after the incident.
