Earl Charles Spencer 'engaged to girlfriend'

The AP reports that Earl Spencer and Canadian charity worker Karen Gordon confirmed in an official statement on Tuesday that they plan to wed this summer.
The couple are to marry on June 18 in a private ceremony at the Spencer family home Althorp, which is also the burial site of Princess Diana.
Gordon heads the Whole Child International organisation, which seeks to improve the lives of abandoned, abused and orphaned children around the globe.
Earl Spencer has been married twice before and has six children.
