Channing Tatum has revealed that does not regret working as a stripper in an all-male revue during his younger years.

In an interview with GQ, the Dilemma actor insisted that he has no desire to hide the fact that he was once an exotic dancer.

"I'm not ashamed of it," he said. "I don't regret one thing. I'm not a person who hides s**t."

Tatum also expressed a desire to follow Pirates of the Caribbean star Johnny Depp's career trajectory.

"I think people pay money to see the actor go through a wall," he claimed.

The star continued: "I want to be like, 'Holy s**t, Johnny Depp actually jumped off that building. That guy's f**king crazy'. I want to be him."

Tatum will next star with Antonio Banderas and Michael Douglas in the action thriller Haywire, which is released on April 22 in US cinemas.
