Katie Price has claimed that she did not attend last night's Brit Awards because she was working on a comedy sketch for Comic Relief.

The 32-year-old was due to attend the awards ceremony at London's O2 Arena but pulled out hours beforehand. Writing on Twitter, she revealed that she was busy working on the charity sketch.

"Gary doing my hair while I'm looking at my script I have to record for my sketch for comic relief ..I soo can't act haha (sic)," she told fans, before later adding: "I'm still here working for my comic relief sketch its actually quite funny your see it on my reality show too!"

However, the former glamour model hit out after her absence was discussed by News of the World showbiz journalist Dan Wottoon on Lorraine Kelly's ITV1 breakfast show this morning.

"heard dan woot and lorraine slagging me off! what are they doing for charity??" she said. "I was working till late last night for comic relief so bore off."

When informed that Kelly is one of the nine celebrities completing a trek in Kenya for the charity, Price responded: "brilliant for lorraine I take that back but she doesn't have to be two faced nice to my face and slag me of behind my back."
