The Big Mommas actor told Metro that he has been encouraged to take his material outside the US for the first time.
Lawrence said: "I am working on a stand-up tour right now and thinking of bringing it to Britain. I love performing in front of a live audience.
"I'm being asked whether I'll do it overseas too. I've never performed outside the US, though, so that will be a big challenge."
He added: "I welcome challenges but I want my humour to be understood. However, Chris Rock, who has played outside the US, called me and told me I have to do it too."
