Applegate: 'Daughter teaching me about love'

Christina Applegate has insisted that her newborn daughter Sadie Grace is teaching her more about love each day.

In an interview with People, the 39-year-old star said that she has come to understand the strength of the bond between a mother and her child.

"I felt my heart literally open up for the first time and, like, wrap itself around her. It was profound," she declared. "And I'm more in love with her every minute of the day."

Applegate also credits the birth of her daughter with helping to mend emotional scars stemming from her battle with breast cancer.

"She's healed me in so many ways," the star explained. "She's just made my life so much better. She's opened my whole soul."

Applegate is engaged to Sadie Grace's father, former Porno For Pyros bassist Martyn LeNoble.

The former Married With Children star was previously married to Takers actor Johnathon Schaech for six years, before divorcing in 2007.
