Montag thinking of writing teen romances

Heidi Montag has sparked rumours that she is intending to begin writing paranormal teen fiction similar to Stephanie Meyer's Twilight series.

While messaging her Twitter followers this weekend, the former The Hills star asked, "Thinking about writing a supernatural romance novel. Would you read?"

This comment soon sparked encouragement from fans as well as an unexpected exchange between Montag and American Pie star Jason Biggs, who encouraged the socialite's writing ambitions.

"Apparently @biggsjason is posing nude for the cover of my supernatural romance novel," Montag later tweeted.

Montag's husband Spencer Pratt also joined in on the joke, warning Biggs, "Stay away from my woman!"

Montag added earlier today: "The support of @biggsjason and my wonderful fans has convinced me to write my 1st supernatural romance novel. Title coming soon!"

The reality star has yet to officially announce any plans to pursue a serious career in writing.
