Andre 'had no part in Price Brits absence'

Peter Andre has dismissed speculation that Katie Price was banned from the Brit Awards because he did not want her there.

Price was due to attend the ceremony at London's O2 arena last week but pulled out at the last minute. Reports suggested that she had been asked not to attend due to fears of a confrontation with her ex-husband, who was presenting backstage for ITV2.

"This is absolute nonsense," Andre wrote in his New magazine column. "I would like to make it totally clear that my management told the organiser I had no problems with her attending."

He added: "It would have been no skin off my nose if she'd gone because I was busy doing my stuff for ITV2 anyway, and it's highly unlikely we would have bumped into each other."

Price has insisted that she pulled out because she was working on a sketch for her appearance on Let's Dance For Comic Relief.
