Madonna and Franco 'to host rival parties'

Madonna and James Franco will throw rival post-Oscars parties this Sunday, it has been reported.

According to the Daily Mail, Madonna's party will have a royal theme, with music from DJs Paul Oakenfold and Zen Freeman.

However, many guests are reportedly snubbing the singer's party to attend Franco's event. An insider said: "Franco's so beyond cool that a lot of people who would have scooted up to Madonna's will more than likely do the Governors Ball, Vanity Fair and then James's bash, because they're all quite close."

Franco is presenting the Oscars alongside Anne Hathaway, and is nominated for the 'Best Actor' award for his role in 127 Hours.
