Jon, Kate Gosselin 'not back together'

Jon and Kate Gosselin are not getting back together despite recent claims that they planned to reconcile, it has been reported.

The former couple - who divorced in 2009 - were allegedly considering getting back together after deciding that they are "right for each other".

However, People reports that there is no truth to the rumour and that the pair are merely maintaining a civil relationship for the sake of their eight children.

"There is absolutely no chance of a reconciliation. They remain civil for the sake of the kids, but that's it. It's frustrating for Kate that people keep making up stories. They have both moved on," a source said.

"Kate wants nothing more than to be seen in a completely different light than Jon is viewed. Obviously he is the father of her children and that won't change, but she is feeling very happy about her decisions and situation."
