Geldof: 'I'm not spoilt by my father'

Peaches Geldof has hit out at her detractors who believe that she is spoilt by her father Bob.

Speaking ahead of the launch of her new ITV2 show OMG! With Peaches Geldof, the 21-year-old told TV & Satellite Week that she avoids reading what the press have to say about her.

"It annoys me that people think I'm a rich daddy's girl who leeches on her father for money," she told the magazine. It's ludicrous that they think my father is smothering me in money. He grew up in Dickensian Ireland so he is never going to be that person.

"When I can buy a tube pass for a month, that is the height of luxury for me."

She added: "I try not to read criticism about myself. Journalists write complete rubbish about me. I just don't read it. If I did, I would go crazy."
