The True Grit actress told Parade that she became nervous upon meeting the cast of The Social Network at a recent gala.
"I'm definitely going, 'Oh my God' left and right," she said. "I always get so starstruck."
The Tarzana native continued: "I met [The Social Network stars] Jesse Eisenberg, Andrew Garfield, and Armie Hammer at a luncheon. Ahhh! That was a good day."
Steinfeld also revealed that her True Grit role as orphan Mattie Rose was influenced by the 1973 movie Paper Moon, in which a prostitute's daughter (Oscar-winner Tatum O'Neal) goes on a journey of self-discovery with an older grifter.
"Paper Moon with Tatum O'Neal was one of the first [films] that stood out to me. Her role in that was a bit of my inspiration for True Grit - she was so independent," the 14-year-old remarked.
It was previously reported that Steinfeld might star in the sci-fi drama Forgotten.
