Michelle Rodriguez reveals alien theories

Michelle Rodriguez has expressed her belief that if aliens exist, they are likely to be more intelligent and compassionate than human beings.

The former Lost star told CNN that she believes humans might not be the most evolved species in the universe.

"I would think that they would be just smarter than us and a little bit more slick and full of love and light," Rodriguez said. "We're kind of at the bottom of the food chain as far as evolution goes. If there were... aliens, I think they would be a little bit slicker than us."

The Texas native went on to suggest that extra-terrestrials would feel no need to destroy, despite the frightening ways they are often portrayed in blockbuster movies.

She explained: "I just believe that an alien creature, if it did exist, would have to resonate at a higher frequency [and would] therefore not have that human psychological need to destroy and dominate so much."

Rodriguez will soon appear in a film about an alien invasion, Battle: Los Angeles, which is released on March 11 in US and UK cinemas.
