Crowe in 'Gladiator'

Russell Crowe has invested in a majority share of South Sydney rugby club the Rabbitohs.

The Oscar-winning actor and dedicated rugby league fan attended a club meeting to see his bid get a 75.8% approval vote – just over the 75% required.

Crowe, who partnered businessman Peter Holmes a Court to make the bid, also has a home in the city.
