King 'wants to dine with Beyoncé, Jay-Z'

Gayle King has declared that the celebrities with whom she would like to share a meal are Beyoncé and her husband Jay-Z.

King, who is a close friend of Oprah Winfrey, told CNN's Eatocracy that she believes she could engage in interesting conversation with the couple.

"I would love to have dinner with Jay-Z and Beyoncé. I think we would have a lot to chat about," she said. "I like them both so much, and I love them as a couple."

The Gayle King Show host further explained that she admires both Beyoncé and Jay-Z because they are able to balance their high-profile romance with busy careers.

The star remarked: "I like that they are both at the top of their game - and that they have a mutual respect and admiration for each other. And I feel the same about them. We've been at places where we were at the same room at dinner parties, but when it's just us just chilling and kicking back, I think that would be a kick."

Quizzed on where she would take the pair for dinner, King responded that she would select New York City eatery Per Se because the restaurant "has some of the best food [she's] ever tasted in [her] life".
